behold the beam is in thine own eye !
*************************
This verse is one of the words spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ while giving instructions about the kingdom of God in what is known as the Sermon on the Mount.
This phrase is the verse in chapter 7:4 when the chapter begins
1-2 Judge not , that ye be not judged : for with what judgment ye judge , ye shall be judged : and with what measure ye mete , it shall be measured to you again
This chapter 7 begins with Do not judge without being judged.

Let's take a closer look at the idea of a splinter in your eye:
First of all He was not referring to any individual i.e. Peter , John or Judas Iscariot which means that this verse was not just spoken to an individual or those who attended the meeting at the time but it applies to all of us humans in all ages 'It means it's
As I understand it, the message you give to everyone who reads this verse is that there is a log in your own eye.

Even your brother whose eye you see the splinter in his own eye is the one who sees the splinter in his own eye but as he and God know, as the Word of God tells us there is a log in your own eye, he has much more in his eye than you or I see.
If we understand the word deeply, we see much more in ourselves than we see in others.
As we notice in our daily lives, there is much more to ourselves than we see in people.
However, let us forget that the flaws we see in ourselves, big or small, affect and hold us accountable first and let us talk about other people, get angry and judge them.
So we see the splinter in someone's eye while we see that there is a splinter in our own eye which means that what we see in ourselves is bigger than what we see in someone else so that we can see the venom clearly.

If we notice the words in verse one of this chapter that you will be judged with what you judge and with what measure you measure it will be measured to you, we are passing judgment on ourselves in the same matter by judging our brother by what we condemn.
James 2: 12-1
For mercy glorieth against judgment: and he that hath shewed no mercy, shall be judged without mercy. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Your brother Hadish Fissahaye
Blessed be you !
