Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
The man of God Watch Money in one of his books raised this idea that you have left your first love and gave a metaphorical explanation as follows.
As he begins his thought, Watchman describes the special love of God that exists when we first accept the Lord as Savior in the following way
Suppose someone receives an unexpected amount of money in the lottery, says Watchmaney.

This poor man who was very poor and had nothing in front of him to say that he would pass this way.

Suppose one day the lottery draw reaches him, it is well known that the person is overjoyed and even acts like a madman.
So the love, peace, joy, and associated love of thanksgiving, love of prayer, love of the Word, love of brotherhood, and life of service and obedience that comes with it when we first find the Lord is profound and raises a question.
He says that after a certain period of time, when the lottery winner receives his money and his life changes, the joy will naturally decrease, even if not completely.

In that sense, the more time a believer spends in the Lord, the less emotional love he has and then he enters into a serious crisis of spiritual desolation that he does not understand because he has lost his emotional love for the Lord. He feels that he has left the Lord without realizing it or has fallen into some sin, etc., says Watch Money.
However, he says the lottery winner has lost his emotional happiness and cannot think that he has spent so much money that the lottery winner has changed his life.
Therefore, the believer should never doubt the life he has received and the salvation he has received in Christ Jesus accordingly because this is because he will come out of emotional Christianity and be based by faith on the covenant based on God's Word
He says that God is the one who deserves it.

I am quoting this Watchman's idea from a general idea I remembered from reading many years ago and I apologize in advance if you may not find it literally that way.
Back to our topic, where do you look for your first love if you lose it?

First of all, taking this first love as an understanding and raising the question of where we lose the Lord's love we are talking about is certainly not an easy question and it is obvious that it is not possible to answer much in this little point in a comprehensive manner
Let's talk about it. According to this letter to the church in Ephesians, we will divide this idea into two topics: 1. How to forsake love and 3. How to continue and develop love.
In the church in Ephesus the saints lost their love for God that means  it could be lost. So the first thing we see is the abandonment of that love.

4, giving up that love

The strange thing is that if you see things that Jesus himself is doing for the Lord, one by one, if you see things one by one, they cannot say that the love will not leave it but the Lord who examines the heart and kidneys has certainly left her since he said you left her. Since he said this even to these churches that had what spiritual qualifications, maturity and ministry, so we all need to calmly examine ourselves.

a. Trying to replace it with a lot of service destroys love

b . Laziness and neglect destroy love

So we find it translated as worshiping God so to know that not worshiping God and not loving the saints and everyone else means that the Lord Jesus Christ makes you lazy and unproductive.

10. Developing that love

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

a. Growing in knowledge

The more you know the Lord Jesus Christ, the more you will love Him. The more we understand all His mercy, His love, His kindness and all His attributes.
Even in secular culture, it is said that love comes from practice.

Philippians 1: 1-1
that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God
to be, to prove the best, and your love
This I pray, that the more you abound in knowledge and in all discernment;

So God expects us to turn the emotional love we had when we first received the Lord into a knowledge of His character and His Word and to come out of childhood and emotion and mature in the knowledge of His Word and become believers in His Word.

b. Growing by ordering

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me.
and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
The mature Christian goes beyond feeling love for God and knowledge of His Word and enters into obedience to God, and God expects us to please Him by obedience.

To fulfill all righteousness in Jesus John the Baptist
He spoke of His obedience at the hour of His baptism when God testified, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased
w. John 1:12
and he that sent me is with me. Always pleasant
for I will do it : he will not leave me alone.
He was obedient unto death, even the death of the cross
3. We will move beyond joy, happiness, peace, etc. to knowledge, diligence, meditation on His Word, study, learning, etc., and enter into obedience to His Word (His will).
2. Nailing God in obedience is the greatest worship on earth.
